My File Won't Save And The App Says To Check My Internet Connection. What Do I Do?

Even when you’re connected to Wifi, iAnnotate may still share this pop-up. Here are a few ways to resolve it:

a. Re-save the Document Manually:
  1. Tap on the orange tab labeled with the document's name.
  2. Select "Save to"
  3. Choose the location you’d like to save the document to.

Pro-tip: If you’re saving the copied file to a separate storage location, it will have the exact same name as the original, so we recommend renaming the copy (e.g. add “Copy” or a number to the copied file.) If you open or save a copy in the same storage location iAnnotate will add a number to the end indicating it is a copy.

b.  Rename of the File

  1. Tap on the orange tab labeled with the document's name.
  2. Select "Rename"
  3. Adjust the file’s name and tap “Save”

c. Replace the File with the “Open a Copy” Feature
  1. Tap on the orange tab labeled with the document's name.
  2. Tap "Open a Copy". This will open a new copy of the file in a new tab.
  3. Begin working from this copy to replace your existing file.

d. Save the File to a Separate Storage Location.
  1. Tap on the orange tab labeled with the document's name.
  2. Select "Save to"
  3. Choose a different location you’d like to save the document to.

e. Remove and Re-adding the Storage Location.

Do NOT use this step with local files. Only do this step with a cloud connection. If you delete local files it will remove all files in the local storage.

Remove the Storage Location:

  1. Navigate to the iAnnotate Library
  2. Select the Storage Location you’re saving to by tapping the grey circle
  3. Tap the trash can icon
  4. Tap “Delete”

Re-add the Storage Location:

  1. Navigate to the iAnnotate Library
  2. Tap the plus icon in the bottom right corner
  3. Select “Add Storage”
  4. Choose the Storage Location you’d like to re-add.
  5. Name the Storage Location and tap “Save”
  6. Tap on the storage connection icon. Then follow the prompts to log in to your cloud storage location.
