Even when you’re connected to Wifi, iAnnotate may still share this pop-up. Here are a few ways to resolve it:
a. Re-save the Document Manually:
- Tap on the orange tab labeled with the document's name.
- Select "Save to"
- Choose the location you’d like to save the document to.
Pro-tip: If you’re saving the copied file to a separate storage location, it will have the exact same name as the original, so we recommend renaming the copy (e.g. add “Copy” or a number to the copied file.) If you open or save a copy in the same storage location iAnnotate will add a number to the end indicating it is a copy.
b. Rename of the File
- Tap on the orange tab labeled with the document's name.
- Select "Rename"
- Adjust the file’s name and tap “Save”
- Tap on the orange tab labeled with the document's name.
- Tap "Open a Copy". This will open a new copy of the file in a new tab.
- Begin working from this copy to replace your existing file.
- Tap on the orange tab labeled with the document's name.
- Select "Save to"
- Choose a different location you’d like to save the document to.
e. Remove and Re-adding the Storage Location.
Do NOT use this step with local files. Only do this step with a cloud connection. If you delete local files it will remove all files in the local storage.
Remove the Storage Location:
- Navigate to the iAnnotate Library
- Select the Storage Location you’re saving to by tapping the grey circle
- Tap the trash can icon
- Tap “Delete”
Re-add the Storage Location:
- Navigate to the iAnnotate Library
- Tap the plus icon in the bottom right corner
- Select “Add Storage”
- Choose the Storage Location you’d like to re-add.
- Name the Storage Location and tap “Save”
- Tap on the storage connection icon. Then follow the prompts to log in to your cloud storage location.
