iAnnotate allows you to close a saved file when you're finished working. Follow the steps below to do so.
To Close a Document
- Tap the "x" on the tab next to the document's name.
This will close the file and save it directly to your default save location, the location you've already manually saved it to, or the location you opened it from.
Note: Closing a file by tapping the "X" on the document's tab will NOT delete the document
Unsaved Documents CANNOT be Closed
- If the document has not been previously saved or did not auto-save, you will encounter a pop-up message alerting you that the document cannot be closed as it has not been saved.
- To resolve the popup and save the document, tap on the document's tab to reveal a drop down menu. Select "Save To" and choose the file's save location.
Seeing a pop up saying "Saveback Failed"? Learn how to resolve that message with steps from this help article: How to Resolve a "Saveback Failed" Error Message.
