Sometimes voice annotations may appear as unable to play out loud. The good news - your sound may be off.
Is Your Sound off?
While this may sound like a trivial question, iAnnotate can not break through your device's sound settings like other sound-on platforms (i.e. music apps, video streaming services, etc.). Open your device's Control Center to check that your device is not set to silent. If the sound bell icon is red with a diagonal line through it, then you'll need to turn it on with a single tap.
Note: If your device is set to silent (i.e. the sound bell is red with a line), then iAnnotate sound annotations will not play even if you adjust the volume using the device's side buttons.
How to Access Your Device's Control Center
- To open the Control Center, swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen.
- To close the Control Center, swipe up from the bottom of the screen, or simply tap the screen (if you're on an iPhone, we recommend tapping along the side of your screen)
