!! Known Issue: App May Crash When Deleting Annotations !!
We are aware of an issue for iOS 27 users that may cause iAnnotate to crash when deleting an annotation using the trash can icon. There is a workaround.
Currently affecting users on iOS 27. We're investigating and working on a fix.
Until a fix is available, please delete annotations from the Notes panel rather than using the trash can icon in the context menu.
To delete an annotation from the Notes panel:
- Open the document containing the annotation.
- Open the navigation pannel (four grey squares icon in the top right).
- Tap the Notes icon in the lower right
- Locate the annotation you want to delete from the list
- On the list, swipe from right to left.
What you should know
This issue only affects deletion through the trash can icon in the annotation's context menu on devices updated to iOS 27.
Other annotation functionality is not affected by this specific issue and no other issues have been noted to date.
What if the app has already crashed?
If iAnnotate has crashed after deleting an annotation, reopen the app and document. When deleting additional annotations, use the Notes panel workaround described above.
