Troubleshooting Tip: Force-Quit the App

Sometimes the best troubleshooting solution can be force-quitting an app. Here's how to force-quite iAnnotate when needed

Force quitting an app reset it and can be a great first step for troubleshoot an issue.

How to Force-Quit iAnnotate

Option 1:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the center of the screen to reveal the thumbnail views of all your open apps

  2. From here, tap and drag upward (and off the screen) on the iAnnotate thumbnail preview to close and force-quit the app. You'll know the app has been force-quitted when you no longer see it wihtin the thumbnail preview gallery.

Option 2 (If you have a Home Button - 9th Gen iPads and below, iPhone SE + iPhone 8 and below):

  1. Double-click the Home button revealing smaller preview icons of all open apps.

  2. To close the App, swipe the App up and off the screen
